Basketball … All-Maryland Intercollegiate Conference two years, 1967-68 and 1968-69. Ned’s 48 points in one game was an F.S.C. record as of 1971. Scored 891 points in his career. Led team in scoring once with 309 points (1967-68) and led team twice in rebounds (1967-68 and 68-69). Scored 431 points in 68-69 season, his one-year high. F.S.C. co-MVP in 1967-68.

Football … All-Maryland defensive tackle and F.S.C. Outstanding Lineman in 1968. A versatile player at 6-4, 235 lbs., Ned also saw action at end and center. Played with Virginia Sailors of Athletic Coast League after graduation.

Track … Track MVP in 1969. Held F.S.C. Javelin record with 177’-10’’ as of 1971. His Discus throw of 130’-61/2’’ was second best in F.S.C. history as of 1971. Ned also participated in Shot-put, Long Jump and Triple Jump.

MVP … Winner of the most Outstanding Athlete Award in 1969.

Letters … Earned 11 letters - four each in football and track and three in basketball.
