Michael Beckwith ’88 was a three-time All-American for the Bobcat Track & Field program. He helped lead the team to back-to-back National Championships in 1986 and 1987. Beckwith finished runner-up at the 1987 NCAA Championships in the discus with a throw of 51.46m, where he holds the second-best throw in program history.
