Director of Athletics … Eight years (1978-1986). During his tenure the F.S.U. athletic success continued to grow, particularly reflected in the three national track championships and the advancement of women’s athletics. Was the primary force in the establishment of the Eastern States Athletic Conference and instrumental in the construction of the stadium pressbox.
Soccer Coach … 17 years (1969-1985). Compiled an overall won-lost record of 134-90-31. His 134 victories is the most in F.S.U. soccer coaching history. There were 15 winning seasons, five appearances in the NAIA District playoffs and two in the NCAA regionals. NAIA District Champions – 1970, ’71 and ’77. NAIA District runners-up – 1972 and ’74. NCAA Regional playoffs – 1981 and ’83. Was instrumental in the development of three All-Americans and numerous All-Region players.

Tennis Coach … Eight years (1970-’71; ‘73-76; ’78; ’80). Overall record of 48-27-1. The team won the Potomac Intercollegiate Conference Championship in 1970 and ’71, the only two years of existence.

Basketball Coach … Two years (1984-’85 and 1985-’86). Overall record of 28-25. In 1986 F.S.U. ranked in the top ten in Division III in both offensive and defensive field goal percentage, and played and won four exhibition games in England.
