Soccer … All-South three seasons (1962, 1964 and 1965). Scored 18 goals in his career, tied for fourth on the all-time FSC list. Playing at an inside position most of his career, John led the team in scoring two seasons: eight goals in 1962 and five goals in 1965.

Tennis … Generally regarded as the greatest tennis player in FSC history at time of his induction into the hall of fame.

Letters … Earned eight letters - four each in soccer and tennis.
