Ran in the NAIA National Championships in 1974, 1975, and 1976. Won the Penn Relay Open 440-yd. dash in 1975 against Division I competition. Jeff established the following F.S.U. records, since broken by the great All-Americans attracted to F.S.U. by the superb track program he helped establish.

F.S.U. records:
100-meters – 48.7 (1976)
220-yd. dash – 22.2 (1974)
330-yd. (indoor) – 33.2 (1976)
