Coach of Soccer … Had a winning record in four of five years as head coach. His overall win-loss record was 22-7-4. The record by season 1938: 3-3-2, 1939: 6-1-0, 1940: 6-0-2, 1941: 3-2-0, 1942: 4-1-0. In 1939 and 1940, the team participated in unofficial post-season play in North Carolina. In 1939 they beat High Point 3-0 and in 1940 they tied 1-1 and beat Duke 2-0. They were the 1939 South Atlantic champs and the Maryland State champs.

Coach of Basketball … In the four seasons he coached a varsity team, George compiled a win-loss record of 50-27. The 1942-43 season was a junior varsity schedule because of the war. The individual seasons: 1938-39: 10-7, 1939-1940: 17-4, 1940-41: 14-8, and 1941-42: 9-8. Produced such stars as John Meyers, Ed Athey, and Pat Rice.

Coach of Baseball … Despite an absence of written records, it is known his teams were good ones. The 1941 teams won the Tri-state conference championship, going undefeated in the conference and losing only four games overall.
