Dr. Charles H. Hircock was a 30-year member of the Frostburg State University track & field coaching staff, serving as recruiting coordinator for a majority of his tenure.

He also served as coach of the throwing events while leading seven of his athletes to NCAA Division III All-American status. He helped guide the Bobcat men to National Championships in 1986 and 1987 and a third-place showing in his final season while helping the women to a runner-up finish in 1982.

Hircock was also a dedicated member of Frostburg State's Health, Physical Education and Recreation Faculty.
