Football … Four letters in four years. One of Frostburg State’s greatest linebackers.
All-Maryland Collegiate first-team selection at linebacker twice, 1973 and 1974.
NAIA District 18 first-team linebacker in 1973.

Twice was named Best Defensive Player for F.S.U. – 1973 and 1974. Team Co-Captain in 1973 and 1974.

Signed a professional contract in 1974 with the Philadelphia Bells of the World Football League.

Team record was 20-18-1 during his career.

Although records are incomplete for defensive statistics, Donnie was the leading tackler on the F.S.U. team over the course of his four-years, and likely was the seasonal leader two or three times.

Wrestling … Two letters in two seasons. Wrestled in the 190 lb. Class and had a career record of 13-19 with three pins.
1971-72 – 4-9 (one pin)
1972-73 – 9-10 (two pins)
