He set an ACFC and FSU record with 248 receiving yards. He caught 15 passes, good for second all-time in FSU history, including a shool-record three touchdowns. Young's first touchdown reception, a 25-yarder, opened the game's scoring and put FSU ahead, 7-0. His second touchdown came with just four seconds left in the opening half as the Bobcats trailed 19-13 at the break. His third score was a nifty 26-yarder that proved to be the game-winner. He caught a short pass and weaved through the Apprentice secondary on his way to the end zone that gave FSU a 25-21 lead with 3:15 to play in the fourth.
