JD Hook has been awarded the FSU Male Athlete of the Week honor for the week of Sept. 19.

In his first collegiate start, Hook accounted for 237 yards of offense in FSU's 44-24 win over Empire 8 opponent Utica.

Hook carried the ball 38 times for 184 yards and two fourth quarter touchdowns that helped seal the victory. He also caught five passes for 53 yards and another score.
