Our History - Our women's soccer program began NCAA play in 1994 and has never had a losing record! We are a Six-Time Conference Champion and have earned bids to the NCAA or ECAC Tournament in each of the last eight years, advancing to the second round twice (2003 and 2004). FSU has quickly become a regional Division III power in women's soccer.
Our Philosophy - The Frostburg State women's soccer program has a basic mission to enhance the college experience of female student-athletes through the sport of soccer. FSU is a place where good soccer players can have a fun, rewarding, and highly competitive college soccer experience without having soccer dominate their lives. We ask a lot of our players but provide a good balance of athletics, academics, time for family, and just being a college student. We maintain about a 3.25 team GPA and have won the NSCAA Team Academic Award several times in recent years. Our players are committed to excellence both in the classroom and on the soccer field.
Our Facilities - Frostburg State has demonstrated its commitment to athletics and the sport of soccer by renovating our main stadium with a state-of-the-art artificial grass surface for soccer use beginning in 2006. We have a weather-proof and soccer-friendly artificial surface giving us the ability to play night games in almost any weather conditions in a true stadium venue. We practice in the stadium and on our former grass game field. The athletic facilities and services at FSU rival those of any similar institution and are improving every year. It is an exciting time to attend FSU as a student-athlete.
Our Staff – We have a full-time head coach as well as two assistant coaches to support our players and provide our goalkeepers with position-specific expertise throughout the year.
