GIBSONIA, Pa. - Frostburg State women's basketball senior
Brittany James (Baltimore, Md./Milford Mill) earned Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Player of the Week honors after two conference wins last week, Monday afternoon.
In a 73-69 victory over Penn State Altoona, James posted 20 points and pulled down 13 rebounds for her seventh double-double of the season. James also had a 69.2 field goal percentage against PSA.
Against Penn State Behrend, James recorded 26 points and 22 rebounds in a 75-61 win for the Bobcats. She averaged 23.0 points per game and 17.5 rpg on the week, while staying perfect at the line in both games, making eight free throws on eight attempts.
James is currently ranked second in the AMCC in field goal percentage (.533) and fourth in both rebounds (10.1 per game) and points with 16.2 per game.
Frostburg State returns to action at AMCC opponent La Roche on Wednesday, February 3 at 6:00 pm.
