Russell Earns Player of the Week; Buckmaster Picks Up Goalie of the Week Honors

Lauren Russell (Waldorf, Md./Westlake) earned the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference women's soccer Player of the Week honor for the third time this season and sophomore
Michelle Buckmaster (St. Leonard, Md./Calvert) earned goalkeeper of the week honors for the week of November 9, Monday, after helping the Bobcats to the conference championship.
Russell scored the game-winning goal in the 94th minute against Penn State Altoona to break a scoreless deadlock in the AMCC championship game. Russell also netted two goals against Pitt-Bradford in the Bobcats semifinals win on November 4.
Russell leads the conference in points per game (3.33), goals per game (1.29) and assists with .76 per game.
Buckmaster was in net for all 94 minutes in the championship game against PSA and stopped the Lions only shot on goal to preserve the shutout and victory.
Frostburg State returns to the field on November 14 at Otterbein for a 11:00 am match in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
